The history of the Class B Plus motorhome is a natural development of people's experiences with Class B and Class C motorhomes. Class B motorhomes are van conversions, where essentially a minivan is converted to an RV. Considering its size, Class B motorhomes are ideal for two people. Class C motorhomes are built using a truck chassis. They contain a cab and an overhang that is used for sleeping. Class C motorhomes are larger than Class B motorhomes, and so they can fit more passengers. Seeing a rather large gap between these two classes of motorhomes, manufacturers determined to build motorhomes that had some characteristics from both of the aforementioned classes. This relatively new development in motorhome manufacturing is labeled Class B Plus because it bridges the gap between Classes B and C.
Since Class B Plus is a classification that covers the entire spectrum between B and C, some features are not found in all Class B Plus RVs. However, the typical Class B Plus motorhome will have tons of standard features and many additional options to choose from.
