The RVzen Guide to shopping for
Used RVs For Sale in New York
If you're new to the RV lifestyle and not sure where to begin, we suggest browsing our used RVs for sale in New York page to get a feel for price and availability in the state. If you plan on buying from a private party and not a dealer, but aren't sure what type of RV you need, you probably fall into one of three categories:
- Weekend Warrior: What is your purpose for the RV? If you just plan to take it out on weekends with your family, and don't need much space, you might consider a smaller pop-up camper or travel trailer.
- Full-Timer: If you plan on hitting the road for weeks or months at a time you might consider purchasing something larger like a Class A Motorhome or Fifth Wheel travel trailer. This will allow a more comfortable living space and more room for your stuff.
- Adventurist: If you're a little more than a weekend warrior but not quite a full-timer, you could consider yourself an Adventurist. If you have lots of toys that you love to take with you like an ATV or mountain bikes, you might consider purchasing a Toy-Hauler or a trendy Airstream trailer to take with you so you have more space for all your gear while still giving you the ability to maneuver into the back woods or a small campsite.
